Ontario Sweet Corn

Our premium sweet corn is harvested from early July until the end of September. We only grow the best varieties that will provide the greatest flavour, size and freshness. We plant bicolour and yellow sweet corn.  Bicolour sweet corn has yellow and white kernels and is commonly referred to as peaches and cream.  The yellow corn we grow is a special variety in limited supply that has a distinctive buttery flavour.

We never use machine harvesters.  Our standard is hand picked and double graded sweet corn.  We seal in the sweetness of freshly picked corn by cooling it quickly after it is picked.  We essentially give it a cool water bath, a process we call hydro cooling.  This process definitely helps keep that fresh sweet taste that everyone comes to expect.   It is then delivered quickly to retail locations so that you can have the freshest corn possible.
